They are sisters and they are a little twisted.
We are sisters and we are a little twisted, we are Meghan Kimmel Hoffman and Brianna Kimmel.
Our focus is on raising quality, functional cattle that will work for both the purebred and commercial cattleman.
We try and breed cattle that are a balance of both phenotype and performance. As you look through our females you will see that we are tying to raise attractive females that will still go out and produce calves that will top the scales in the fall.
Raising quality Simmental cattle that are bred for longevity, focusing on superior maternal and fertility traits. Performance without compromising calving ease.
The Sim/angus cross has become very popular as a means of producing cattle with high performance and high market acceptance levels.
The Twisted Sisters Livestock are two sisters who share a common interest in cattle. Both from a young age enjoyed being in the barns around cattle. Being involved in 4H raising, showing and fitting cattle for the show ring soon became a passion. This has brought them to a joint venture with the common belief that cattle need to be easy fleshing sound and functional regardless of breed or color.
Meghan spent three years in Australia working and showing Polled Herford and Black Angus cattle and is currently living in Kansas with her husband Jim pursuing an interest in Livestock Photography while continuing to fit cattle. They spend time travelling and clipping cattle, working at shows and living the dream. Their daughter Makayla is also involved in the industry working for Superior Livestock/Superior Productions.
Brianna has been involved in 4H and Junior Associations since 2010 where she was inspired and caught the show cattle bug. She has graduated College and is now working as a Crop Production Advisor for Nutrien Solutions in Paradise Valley, AB. In the fall, she gets the show and sale cattle ready.
Their herd has grown and they have sold some seedstock to some industry leaders and are proud of the attention they have received for being small producers. “Quality over Quantity” is the team motto.
Twisted Sisters Livestock will bring together two sister’s love of cattle and the purebred industry. They are striving to produce seedstock that will go to work in the field yet still pretty enough to hang a halter on too.
